The environment around you
The environment, sometimes referred to as the natural environment, by definition is all that is on earth, living and non-living- people included. The social environment, called milieu, talks about poeple, the culture, relations, and groups that a person lives within and interacts with. Understanding the social environment (and perhaps of other social environments that that impacts your life) serves to clarify the position you would want to make, the way you would want to find, the kind of relationships you want to have, and the life you want to learn to live. As you've just read there are two factors that can make things possible to happen. They are 'you' and 'your want'. By 'you' means you are responsible for the outcomes of your actions (internal control). 'Your want' challenges you to pursue it until it's realised.
After all does your pursuit worth going after? Did you bother asking what outcomes do your thoughts and actions lead to? Have you made a choice (based on what you've learned) to want things that bring real happiness(and not jokes) to you ?As individuals we rush for things we see around (especially that catches the eyes) and think that may make us happy. The fact is many things we see are big shadows of small objects. Once we discover the truth about them, we drop the weight we attached to them.
The environment around us influences our behaviour everyday. Whether we like it or not, the social environment places heavy taxes on our burden in that we loose control of our own livings. Imagine a peaceful persoon surrounded by aggressive gangsters. A sudent who supposedly goes to school to learn good lessons but falls for the bad ones (at school!). An innocent kid that was driven to drugs. A young girl that was lurred into flirts. Workers being promised work but then were forced into submissive labour (or prostitution). Big business persons making ''judicious stealing'' a competitive weapon for growth. What is going wrong around us? Aren't we living in a state of modern chaos? Or are the people content living in such environment only to receive a slight share of the pie for turning into ignorance (purposefully)?
Our social environments today are rotten, and infected with blood-lusting viruses. We see buildings rocketing the sky but humans falling down to their meseries-doomed to failure. Happiness in such a world become the scarcest resource.

Environmetalism up to where
The environment, your surounding space: the air, water, plant, soil, wildlife,marine life and natural resources. It is the people who use the environmental resoursces to meet their basic needs, production, trade, exploration, power, and wealth.
The awareness about being good to the environment that was traslated to a movement came after factory production, coal and fossil fuel consumption had already made some serious pollution to the environment notably the air. The movement to preserve and conserve the environment is known as environmentalism. The wikipedia defines it as follows:
''Environmentalism is a broad philosophy and social movement centered on a concern for the conservation and improvement of the natural environment, both for its own sake as well as its importance to civilization. Environmentalists frequently speak of a planet or place faced with a plethora of grave and urgent threats; often associated with unbridled consumption, economic growth, materialism, insensitive development, and booming human numbers. Perhaps most problematic from an environmentalist perspective is the modern view that humanity's fate is divorced from that of the natural world, and that our responsibility to nature is - at best - limited to the satisfaction of shallow desires.''
Research on environmentalism identified two main movements; the radicals and the reformists. The first movement believes only through radical and complete change in political, social, and industrial systems can we live in harmony with the environment. The second movement however, believes in reform work through peacful means to influence the public to sympathise with the cause as well as lawmakers to draft laws in support of the movement for the environment. The practical way of the reformist gained more popularity to date.
Three groups ranging from radical to reformist are known today. Environmentalists known as Light Green are reformists who see it a personal responsibility to protect the environment. The ones known as Dark Green are the radicals who believe that the industrial capitalism is responsible for damaging the environment and change in policy radically made. Yet another group known as Bright Green emerged to direct attention to the means needed to achieve the ends-solving the problems.
What are the problems? Environmenalists list these: Climate change, deforestaion, genetic engineering, pollution, nuclear proliferation, green gass emission, carbon dioxide, and other toxin chemicals, industrial waste, destruction of nature, ozone depletion, nanotechnology, resource depletion, overpopulation, natural and energy conservation.
The organisations named below do not work on all the above mentioned problems rather they focus on some.
The radical movement received severe criticism for their interventionist and violant approach. Earth First, and Earth Liberation Front engage in criminal acts and property destruction. The CNN invistegated the acts of such eco groups and published '' Domestic Terror, who is more dangerous?'' on its web page in 2005. Earth Liberation Front was repoted to have bombed buildings in Georgia to save animals-eco terrorism. They and the Animal Liberation Front regularily attacked scientific laboratories, damaged equipment, supported attacked on housing development and posed a threat to scientists work. The FBI listed them on top of its terrorist chart.
While Greenpeace uses non violant methods in campaigning for the environment it belongs to the same radical movement. Paradoxically, the group was criticised to having made some damages to the environment from its own activites. One important critisim here as is the case with most, if not all, environmnetalist movements and groups is placing value of non-human issues over human issues. After all an environmentalist would go on to save the deep forests, and whales while failing to save victims of war,violance, poverty, illetracy, group pressures, political encapsulation and cultural invasion.
Educating a human person to save his/her life, the life of people around (part of the environment) from the lack of knowledge and work to build personal and communal lives based on human values can save the planet and those on it from plunging into timed deaths and serious disasters. Concern for the environment and maybe an objective, and ethical which everyone will benefit from but can never supercede the intellectual mind inherent in a concious self. When people learn ot respect themselves and others they will better understand how to keep the environment safe, clean, and natural.
The FBI defines eco-terrorism as ''"the use or threatened use of violence of a criminal nature against innocent victims or property by an environmentally-oriented, subnational group for environmental-political reasons''
